WHY WASH & HEALTHY SPACES?

Cities in India (like many Global South cities) face a host of challenges as they expand rapidly. With limited resources, inadequate WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services and the polluted natural environment remain critical concerns. The current COVID-19 pandemic, with its impact on the urban poor, is an urgent reminder of why inclusive access to WASH and healthy spaces matters.

ABOUT aaco

We invite you to connect with us as we drive the citywide inclusive and resilient WASH and healthy space service delivery initiative, through a collective action model, that has been constituted as part of the Global Commission on Adaptation (Cities Action Track).

aaco will tap into a Systems Thinking and Strengthening Approach to effectively integrate water, sanitation, and hygiene requirements with healthy spaces, across urban areas, with a focus on urban poor settlements and vulnerable communities.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

We invite non-profit organizations to apply for TheCityFix Labs: Accelerating Access Prize. The proposal must be aligned with the theme ‘Improving citywide inclusive and resilient access to water, sanitation and healthy spaces in India’. The winner will receive up to INR 15,00,000* (including taxes) to implement their project in support of their organization’s existing initiatives in urban disadvantaged or vulnerable communities.
